Courier cycle begins with pickup, safe transit and ends with on time delivery. However ECOM companies have added macro level concepts like COD or Cash on Delivery. Hence FULFILLMENT takes care of picking a courier from any location to delivering to the consignee or in this case an online purchaser, collecting money from them (COD) and returning the money back to the Origin at the earliest. This whole cycle is the FULFILLMENT of the order.
